STUN GRENADES FIRED AT UCT PROTEST AS STUDENTS ARRESTED FOR STRIPPING DOWN


CAPE TOWN – Two students were arrested following protester clashes with police. The attempt at shutting down UCT’s upper campus occurred today as the university announced an 8% increase in fees as well as a 10% increase in residence hall fees. As the threat of financial exclusion mounts, UCT looks as though escalation is the only likely result of today’s protests.
