BAKU – Controversies trail the harsh sending off of South Africa’s striker Dino Ndlovu during their UEFA champion’s League match last night against Atletico Madrid in one of the group matches yesterday.
The match which ended goalless, saw the big South African sent off for a potential simulation by the match referee when Ndlovu was caught and brought down by Diego Godin in the eighteen yard box.
The incident occurred in the 75th minute of the match, infuriated spectators who cheered their club and team to its first ever point in the history of the competition having put up a great performance.
Dino having already been booked was given a second yellow card with 15 minutes left to play, Atletico though could not use their numerical advantage to win the match.
