THE ROYAL CAPE YACHT CLUB ANNUAL ‘LIPTON CUP’ CHALLENGE ENDS TODAY AUGUST 25TH IN TABLE BAY

CAPE TOWN – The cape Yacht Club (RCYC) has been hosting the annual lipton Cup in Table Bay until today Friday August 25.

The prestigious race is named after Sir Thomas Lipton, a world-famous merchant and yachtsman who donated the Lipton Trophy to RYCY in 1909.

Eleven teams from yacht clubs around the Western Cape as well as from inland clubs entered the challenge.

Races take place daily and the winner will be announced after the final race later today Friday.
