CAPE TOWN – Five men were scheduled to appear in the Khayelitsha Magistrates Court on Friday after they were found in the possession of counterfeit notes worth R400,000.
The accused, between the ages of 34 and 44, were arrested on Monday.
The Hawks’ Lloyd Ramovha says the men were apprehended at a house in Kwezi Park following a tip-off from the community.
“On arrival, a search was carried out and counterfeit notes were recovered, resulting in the arrest of the group. The Hawks have been tasked to investigate this case.”
