CAPE TOWN – The family of a seven-year-old Cape Town girl that was swept out to sea near Betty’s Bay on Friday is receiving assistance.
Divers have been searching for the child since she went missing late on Friday afternoon.
It’s understood she’d been standing on the rocks with her mother when she was swept out by a current near Hermanus.
The NSRI, Overberg Fire and Rescue Services, as well as police divers resumed the search on Saturday morning.
The NSRI’s Craig Lambinon says locals in Hermanus are also assisting.
“At this stage, only her clothing has been found and her family is being supported by relatives and friends. The search is continuing.”
