Eye Witness News
CAPE TOWN – The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) says it was unable to assist a local man who suffered a heart attack on the beach in Witsand.
Rescuers were called to the scene on Sunday morning.
NSRI’s Craig Lambinon says the 56-year old was well-known in the community.
“On arrival, cardiopulmonary resuscitation was initiated by the NSRI paramedics. They brought him to the car park at the main beach, where they were met by EMS paramedics but despite extensive CPR efforts the man was sadly declared deceased.”
