CAPE TOWN LEARNER STABBED TO DEATH AT KRAAIFONTEIN SCHOOL

CAPE TOWN – A Grade 8 pupil has been stabbed to death by a fellow learner at a Kraaifontein high school in what’s believed to be a gang-related incident.

The attack occurred at the Scottsdene High School on Tuesday.

The 16-year-old victim was taken to a nearby hospital and died shortly thereafter.

The Western Cape Education Department’s Jessica Shelver says: “Scottsdene High School has reported that a Grade 8 learner died after being stabbed during an altercation at the school with another learner.

“The school believes at this stage that the incident is gang related. The incident reportedly happened as the learners were returning to class after morning break.”
