KNYSNA FIRES: MASSIVE LOOTING AS RESIDENTS FLEES, FOUR ARRESTED

CAPE TOWN – Four people have been arrested for possession of goods suspected to have been stolen from evacuated houses in Knysna.

The occupants of the homes had fled to safety amid raging fires.

Southern Cape SAPS spokesperson Captain Malcom Pojie confirmed that the suspects were found with electronics and furniture believed to have been stolen.

Pojie said the number of police officers in the area has been increased to prevent any other theft.
