CAPE TOWN – Malls evacuated, hundreds of homes, flooded in Cape Town as raging storm causes more damages to homes and residents. Emergency shelters and humanitarian aid was organised according to YOU.
The severe storm in the Western Cape has displaced over 1000 people, left eight dead and caused vast damage according to the SABC.
Emergency management officials and the SA Weather Service have already briefed Cabinet on the possible impact of the storm.
Authorities and residents beginning to mop up town after five other people died as a result of the storm, this according to Eye Witness News; while three people were killed in a Knysna fire which was being fanned by the wind from the storm system.
