DUNOON WOMAN MURDER DESCRIBED AS ‘A SENSELESS TRAGEDY’
CAPE TOWN -The Milnerton Community Police Forum (CPF) has expressed shock at the murder of a Dunoon woman last week.
According to a report by the police spokesperson Captain Chandler, the 42-year-old woman was killed after being accosted by three unknown men on Thursday, 9 March, 2017.
She says at about 22:30 the woman and two friends arrived at her home in Gousblom street and were surprised by three unknown men.
“One of the men was armed with a hand-gun and fired six shots at the victim, hitting her upper body. The men demanded cash, which was thrown in their direction. The suspects then fled the scene”.
Chandler says the woman’s friends placed her in a car and rushed her to a nearby medical facility, where she succumbed to her injuries. Milnerton police are now appealing for more information that may lead to the arrest of the suspects.
Milnerton CPF Chairperson, Lianne Lippert, extended the CPF’s Condolences to the victim’s loved ones, describing the incident as a senseless tragedy.
“We hope the perpetrators are quickly found and face the full might of the law, we urge the community to come forward with any information that may assist the investigation”
