Her relatives dubbed him “King ding a ling” because he allegedly had several affairs.
On Monday, it emerged Du Plooy is engaged to another woman, and his family and friends were unaware of his relationship with Ellenburgh.
Ellenburgh said she found out he was engaged after she laid a charge with police and her story appeared in the Daily Voice.
“A number of other women have also been contacting me saying he treated them the same and that they weren’t aware I was his girlfriend,” she said.
“They are glad I broke the silence. Then I heard he is engaged so I’m glad because he needs to be exposed.
“I was at court and saw him leaving and felt fear for a few minutes.”
The Daily Voice attempted to reach Du Plooy for comment, but he didn’t respond to calls.
The alleged attack happened in the early hours of last Sunday inside the Las Vegas Lounge in Westridge, where Du Plooy allegedly demanded to know why Ronelle was there without his permission.
She claimed he dragged her out of the club and assaulted her in the car on their way home.
Ellenburgh, who was in a year-long relationship with Du Plooy, also obtained a protection order.
