CAPE TOWN – The Mother City has become the location for an Australian call centre in a deal worth R320 million.
The insurance focused company iSelect’s Chief Executive Officer, Scott Wilson, says they looked to Cape Town after struggling to find enough employees in Australia.
He adds, the venture will create much-needed job opportunities.
“We have been running the concept here in Cape Town for past nine months. We already have 140 people working for us, but we had our board of directors here to officially open our facility. We are expecting that to bring 500 to 1,000 jobs to Cape Town in the next five years.”
