KWA-ZULU NATAL – A 24-year-old man has been handed 190 years for the murders of six members of the same family in Kwa-Zulu Natal.
Sisenda Mvinjana pleaded guilty to the murders and was sentenced in the Pietermaritzburg High Court earlier today.
Police have been searching for his alleged accomplices after the gang opened fire on the family in Georgedale in January, instantly killing six people and critically injuring one.
Mvinjana was arrested by the provisional task team in the Eastern Cape last month.
The police’s Thembeka Mbhele said: “He pleaded guilty to all six counts of murder and one for attempted murder. And he was sentenced to 30 years imprisonment for each murder and 10 years for attempted murder.”
